Pierre Canali, winner of the Barrière Poker Tour and finalist of Job2stars, continues his exploits and wins the Silver Championship of the Euro Finals Of Poker (EFOP) 2023 which takes place from January 29 to February 14, 2023 at the Aviation Club of France (ACF).

After narrowly missing out on the $300,000 contract offered as part of the Job2Stars competition, Pierre Canali won in front of 187 players at the Euro Final Of Poker Silver Championship with a buy-in of €1,000. He thus pockets €51,850 and is ahead of Arnaud Esquevin (€35,000) and Gabriel Nassif (€20,045).
Note the performances of David Alimi who won the Omaha Hi/Lo Championship €500 and Sabrina “Sabdilicious” Derdar who won the Ladies Championship NLHE €150.

President of the eponymous French casino group, Patrick Partouche was placed in police custody in Nice on Tuesday as part of an investigation into a figure in the mafia milieu of Nice, Michel Soret. The latter is presented as a godfather of the Nice underworld and it is in this context that the Nice PJ carried out a wave of arrests.

Patrick Partouche, Chairman of the Management Board of the French casino group Partouche, was placed in police custody on Tuesday in an investigation for “extortion of funds in an organized gang”, then released in the afternoon for medical reasons. His home in Cannes and the headquarters of the Partouche group in Paris were searched.
This police custody follows the imprisonment in May 2023 of Michel Soret, presented as a senior official of organized crime in Nice.
Recall that in 2023, Patrick Partouche was sentenced to a fine of 40,000 euros and 12 months suspended prison sentence by the Nanterre criminal court for editing an illegal poker site based abroad, before being released in March 2023.
